Lifestyle Guidelines + Campaign Creative Direction (Spring 2016)
With the arrival of a new leadership team, Studio At Large was commissioned to establish the brand voice and tone for Ann Taylor. Initially engaged to develop a comprehensive brand book, we crafted a richly detailed portrait of “Ann” — how she dresses, speaks, entertains, what she reads, and the art she connects with — defining a personality that could guide creative decisions across all touchpoints.
The success of this foundational work led to an expanded role: the creative direction and execution of Ann Taylor’s Spring and Summer campaigns. We took a non-traditional approach, capturing on-figure, still life, product details, and environmental imagery in a single, strategically planned shoot. The result was a cohesive visual world that laddered seamlessly back to the brand values we had just redefined—bringing new life, clarity, and consistency to Ann Taylor's refreshed identity.
