Tell Your Story

For i-D's Winter 2017 issue, Tell Your Story, Studio At Large collaborated with photographer Amy Troost and casting agency Guerxs to spotlight the raw, unfiltered voices of Mexico City's youth — a generation "resisting, existing, and rising up" against the status quo. Through intimate portraits and candid reflections, the editorial captures a movement shaped by underground subcultures, artistic transformation, and political defiance. "I don't care about revolution. I believe in resistance through subcultures," one subject declared, while another spoke to the deep societal shift at play: "We're in the middle of a transformation as a country, and it shows in the music and the arts. This makes us a very rich society." More than just a fashion story, Tell Your Story was a manifesto for a new generation reclaiming its own narrative.
